Oil (Paraffin) (or Kerosene in the USA) has been used for heating and lighting for over a century.
Much safer than Petrol (Gasoline in the USA).
Some spares are still available for the more popular makes of heaters and lamps.
We used to service oil heaters so please email us if you are not sure.

Esso Blue was a Premium Paraffin available for many years, now you can use any modern Premium Paraffin or an extra refined Lamp Oil (but not Domestic Heating oil.)
