This genuine Prestige pressure cooker gasket is for Prestige stainless steel pressure cookers only.
Check the gasket's condition after each use, make sure that it has not become hard or developed cracks.
In normal use it could require replacing every 6-9 months.
Old and worn gaskets can leak excess steam leading to longer cooking times and possibily boiling dry.
